Another day put in at the office, and another drive home. On this recent day, the trip home was a good one. I manged to pick up some of my everyday items at great prices, as discussed in this post. Best of all I was able to do this directly on my way home, and I mean directly, not having to drive more than a few meters out of my way, and most importantly without having to make the dreaded “special trip” out. Here are the great savings reaped today:
Cat litter – normally $6.99-$7.99 up to the gunpoint price of $9.89 Purchased for $4.97 each. Savings of at least 30%.
Pepsi – 6pk of 571ml bottles normal price $3.99-$5.99 picked up for $2.00 about 50% off!!
Toilet paper – reg price $9.98 bought for $4.47 over 50% off!
Finally deal o’the day:
Cream Cheese (we go through this stuff like Johnny Depp with the nose candy in Blow) – normal price $6.99 purchased for $2.99!!! About 64% off including the difference in taxes on the $4 saved. I bought 10!!!!
Some very significant savings here, in fact well over $75!!!! I saved over $40 on cream cheese alone!! And that is before and taxes were added!!! Just because I took a bit of time to peruse the weekly flyers.
It appears the odds were ever in my favour today, it was quite a journey of savings, indeed.
That’s right, a Personal Finance blog with not 1 but 2! Hunger Games references!!!
